I’m proud to share Room & Board is now a Certified B Corp.  

B stands for benefit for all. As a B Corp™, we’re joining a global community of companies using their business as a force for good. What does that really mean? We’ve updated our governing documents to show our commitment to operating in a way that positively impacts people and the planet, today and into the future.  

While this certification is new for Room & Board, we aren’t new to this way of thinking. We’ve always known there is room to do well and do good. Since our founding in 1980, we’ve cared deeply about our impact—on our customers, staff members, the environment and our local communities.  

Becoming a B Corp gives us a way to quantify that impact. It also keeps us humble about where we can do better. That’s the point. Being a B Corp isn’t just about getting certified. It’s about pushing ourselves to do better, and in the process, making things better for others, too.  

We’re excited for our future as a B Corp, but I want you to know the things you love about Room & Board aren’t changing. We are more committed than ever to timeless modern design, U.S. craftsmanship, sustainability, outstanding service and value. We hope our B Corp certification simply gives you one more reason to feel good about shopping with us.
